Dr Master teaches at Westminster

Dr Jonathan Master, President of Greenville Presbyterian Theological Seminary (GPTS), began the Spring Semester by taking a packed class through the historic and poetic books of the Old Testament.

Conversation at the coffee machine reflected our students’ excitement; for many in their first year, this was their first opportunity to stand back and take in the narrative arc of Scripture—to appreciate what our Confession describes as, ‘the heavenliness of the matter, the efficacy of the doctrine, the majesty of the style, the consent of all the parts, the scope of the whole, which is to give all glory to God…’

Two things have been particularly apparent in the deep dive the men have taken. Firstly, the integrity of the narrative is striking: the Old Testament is a single story unfolded across 39 books by a master story teller—the Holy Spirit. Secondly, Christ really is on every page!

We are grateful to Dr Master and all at GPTS for their ongoing partnership and support.
