30-Minute Seminary Launched

Updated: Jun 29

A morning commute. A quiet evening at home. A long car journey. Ever wondered how to make the best use of these moments?

We are currently releasing a series of 30-minute video lectures with the aim of creating a condensed seminary course online.

Since Westminster was founded in 2013, we have enjoyed teaching from some of the most experienced pastors and theologians in the UK and US.

We are now abridging a number of these theological lectures into bitesize chunks in a brand-new project: 30-Minute Seminary.

"The vision is for these lectures to bridge church and seminary, taking listeners in turn through the key points of systematic, biblical, and applied theology."

Over time, these published lectures will comprise a condensed seminary course, taking listeners through the major topics in systematic, biblical, and practical theology. With new lectures scheduled to be regularly released over the coming months, we will be building up a complete library of online resources that can be accessed at any time.

Peter Winch, Communications Officer at Westminster, talked with us about his involvement in the project. "This project is aimed at those who want to grow further in their theological knowledge, but aren't able to commit to a full degree. The vision is for these lectures to bridge church and seminary, taking listeners in turn through the key points of systematic, biblical, and applied theology."

"The privileges we have enjoyed come with a responsibility - to share these resources with the wider church."

"We have built up a large video archive over the past few years as we have been privileged to hear teaching from a number of exceptional men. But the privileges we have enjoyed come with a responsibility - to share these resources with the wider church."

The first four videos in the series have already been made available, with addresses from Ian Hamilton, Geoff Thomas, Andrew Kerr, and Clover Todman.

A number of new releases are scheduled for the coming weeks, addressing issues such as the Bible and Archaeology, a Christian response to infertility, the doctrine of Creation, the Kingdom of God, and much more. Over time, these individual videos will be divided into separate courses covering in turn the major topics of systematic, practical, and biblical theology.
